I had a BLM 2/1/08 and 450cc expanders filled to 210cc during surgery. Over the next 5 months I had them filled to 425cc (went through chemo and took my time on expansion) and I was SO happy with the size! Before b/c I was a "sub-A" (as my ps called it) with 360cc saline implants. I had always wished I had gone bigger, so this was my only little ray of sunshine in this whole ordeal----I get bigger implants and I don't have to pay for them!

Anyway, on Sept 25th I had my exchange for 425 cc silicone high profile implants. Besides the fact that one is an inch higher than the other, I am only a size B cup!!!! I was a full C before cancer and a full D after last fill! My bras are too big now and my new swim top I bought after my last expanision is too big!

After some research, I found out that the dimensions of my expanders were infact larger than the dimensions of the 425cc implant. Both were made by Mentor. The craziest thing of all is that Tuesday, when I was at the ps office, we were looking and Mentor doesnt even make an implant with the same dimensions as the expanders - no matter the cc's or the style!!!! There was a 3/4" difference in projection.

So I say all this, because, after much searching, my ps found the closest thing to match in projection without being too wide in diameter is Natrelle 700cc!!!! I am having them switched but I am a little freaked out my the 700cc. Has anyone had this kind of experience?

Here is synopsis:

Mentor 425-450 expander: 12.9cm wide, 12.5cm high 7.0 cm projection

Replaced with Mentor 425cc silicone high profile: 12.5cm dia., 5.0 cm projection (My current size B)

Exchanging for Natrelle 700cc silicone "full moderate": 13.5cm dia, 6.4cm projection

I am 5' 5" and 118 lbs.

Going by the actual dimensions I should be very happy, but when I see to # of cc's I get a bit freaked out! I just dont want wake up looking like I have two cantelopes in my chest, but I want to be my expansion size. I am so glad that my ps was very supportive of changing them out, and he spent an hour with me helping research all options.

I would love to hear from anyone who has experienced anything similar and can offer any information.

Tomorrow is MY BIG DAY. I can't believe how nervous I am.
I have 450 cc's in my expanders. I am getting 660 Mentor something. Should hopefully be a full B which is what I wanted.

The restructions seem so strict following this surgery?

Can any of you that have been through it tell me a little about your recovery process?

My expanders were 425 and 450 cc's. PS was going to use Mentor 660's. I ended up with 550's

"Girls" looks small. I have read about "drop and fluff" Can anyone explaing this to me??

Shirley, anytime you want to get some new girls, you just let me know and I will fix you right up.

Daisy, dropping means that your implants settle down into the pocket and fluffing is when your chest muscles finally relax from the surgery therefore less restrictive on the implants. If you are feeling small now, you will be even smaller in a few weeks, because you are still swollen from surgery. Fluffing will not make you any bigger than post surgery swelling does.

So everything else went good then?

Everything went OK. I don't think that should be out patient surgery!
I am still in some pain, taking pain pills and drowsey.
Cannot lift over 10 pounds

My expanders were filled with 500cc and exchanged out with silicone but my bra size which the ps said should be a C is an A and still don't fill out the tip so all I can wear is sports bras. I ok with it most of the time but every once is a while it would be nice to wear a nice pretty sexy bra.

How long ago did you have your surgery? Perhaps they need more settling? You can always make your ps revise them and insurance has to pay for it. I am glad I did it again, and the revision surgery was no big deal at all! I was up and around that day.

It has been since 2007. Do you fill out the tips of the bras? Mine are more rounded and no tips. My bathing suit top sinks in can looks awful.
