This topic has probably already been discussed here, but I am starting this topic anyway, cuz I am too lazy to look for it..

So a board of "einstiens" has decided that women shouldnt get routine mammo's until age 50. Basing this on the "false" positives and negatives.................. Well I dont know about anyone else, but a routine mammogram saved my life!

I was 41 years old and the shape of my tumor made it unpalpable. Had it not been for my dr. sending me for routine mammo, my cancer would have certainly had time to spread, especially since it was HER2/neu.

This terrifies me for my daughter!!!!!

Your daughter will be considered high risk so she will get her mammo, as will my daughter. It's the other girls I am worried about. It's also the women now who won't go get mammos now because of the new study.

My dds will continue getting their mammos even though I had the old ladies kind of bc...LOL I guess I was considered old at 58 yo. In fact when their gyn (two go to the same doc) MADE them have a baseline...they were in their 30s. One just turned the big 40!

These task force people sound like they should be fighting in Afghanistan...."task force?" I guess they're the ones who battle the health care recipients. Now we can have battles with the task force and insurance companies.
