Awwwww, Lexi, I'm so sorry you are going through this. The "waiting room" is horrible. I almost refuse to put myself there. You are brave. And I just know YOU WILL BE FINE! Don't ask me how..but I just know. We'll celebrate after the onc calls you with the good news.

Do you need any spare fingernails to bite? Be well, my friend.

It has been my experience that if there was a problem, your phone would have rung BEFORE thursday. My onc never calls with results.....which has always meant everything was clear.

Bad news gets put at the top of the pile, so take a deep breath and smile. It was a good idea to get that baseline I think. How else would they be able to monitor changes? You did the right thing by requesting it, so just relax and be happy you stay on top of your health.

P.S. effexor can cause night sweats, nightmares, and anxiety. Yep, it can CAUSE anxiety, so while your anxiety is absolutely understandalbe, if it seems heightened, huge possiblity that it is caused by effexor.

Effexor causes anxiety!!!!!!

I'm taking it to lessen my anxiety! Why would they have perscribed it?

I have noticed now that the weather is warmer, I'm having night sweats. I wasn't having them before,or maybe I just didn't notice because of the winter months, I thought I was lucky!

Effexor "may" cause anxiety. Just like giving a child with adhd a stimulant. Just like an anti-nausea drug "may" cause nausea. Doesnt mean it IS causing your anxiety, it just means it's POSSIBLE that it is making you more anxious than normally would be.

Just something to be aware of.

Night sweats and HORRIBLE nightmares are very common on effexor.

And think about this.....a woman goes to doctor becuase she is depressed, so he prescribes an "anti-depressant" which makes her gain weight, which makes her depressed...........
